Europan 6 in 10 points:

1. Europan 6 is directed at young architects, and young professionals in related fields, who are under forty years of age, and from Europe.
2. Europan 6 is a call for ideas, followed by implementation, on the theme: "In-between cities, architectural dynamics and new urbanity".
3. Europan is a European architectural federation of national organisations, each of which organise and manage an architectural competition followed by implementations launched simultaneously on common theme and with common objectives.
4. Rules and judging methods are identical in all the countries taking part. The competitions are calls for ideas, open, pubic, and European. Entries are anonymous. Competitors can register freely in the country of their choice.
5. A series of urban sites in European towns, accompanied by programme brief, is proposed to competitors. It is from these sites that competitors must choose the one(s) on which they want to submit their project(s).
6. Each entry must have two aspects:
   -a strategic reflection project that responds to the problems the session is dealing with, in relation to the urban challenges, and the thematic orientations of the session, on the urban scale of the chosen site;
   -an executable architectural project whose programme includes some housing on a clearly defined area of the site.
7. In each country, a national jury judges the strategic reflection projects and the architectural projects on the sites in the country in question. On a European level, a research committee makes a thematic and comparative analysis of the strategic reflection projects that have been selected by each national jury.
8. Each of the national competitions has its own jury which designates winners and runners-up, to whom prizes are awarded.
9. Prize-winning teams will be helped by organisers in order that they secure commissions that will be implemented.
10. Prize-winning proposals will be exhibited and published. Europan 6 will be the occasion for meetings organised between the various partners, organisers, town representatives, professionals, juries and competitors.
